Committed to Mercy's mission of nurturing life-long learners and global citizens, who are curious about and engaged with the world, and who act from a base of faith and compassion, Mercy High School Resource Center/Library actively supports each Mercy student in becoming a self-directed reader and competent user of information. Our Resource Center staff collaborates with Mercy's faculty, provides class and one-on-one instruction in research, and offers friendly help in exploring the library's books, magazines, and electronic resources, and in thoughtful use of the Internet.

Search our catalog using the box above. This is NOT the databases - it focusses on our books, and e-books although there are a few database links in there too. To check out a book find it on the shelves using the call number in the catalog, and bring the book to Mrs Murphy who will check it out to you.

Cameron's collection - Mercy's personal wellness collection

Cameron's collection is a collection of ebooks to help teenagers navigate the emotional stresses and strains that sometimes accompany high school. Accessing these books is completely private. No-one is able to know who has accessed which books, or for how long. There is also no limit on the number of users per book, so they will never be unavailable to you. If you are accessing from home, the password is available on this document which you can access using your Mercy google account.

The Library Catalog is available for all your resource needs.

Direct access to the databases and our e-book collection is included within the catalog. If you are on campus access requires no password, although you will need to login to Destiny via Google to see the full list of databases available. If you are accessing from home passwords are available in this document. The full Fiction collection can also be searched by title, author or genre.

E-book and audiobook collection - Sora /Overdrive

Sora is the app to access ebooks on Overdrive.

Students, Faculty, and Staff can checkout e-books and audiobooks any time through our e-book provider OverDrive. In 2017 we were among the founding members of the BAISL Overdrive consortium, a combined library with over 40 other Bay Area Schools. The collection is growing every year, and currently includes more than 1800 high school level e-books as well as audiobooks of the most popular titles.

Login Information:

The easiest way to access the collection now is through Sora. This is an app you can install on ipads or phones. During install use the install code baislca. When prompted click the button to login through Google. You will need to be signed on to your Mercy google account. The video above gives full instructions. Exploring books and the library

Hailey turned 22 last year, and to celebrate she has put together a long list of her favorites. If you are looking for ideas for your next fun read Mrs Murphy would also recommend any one of these. We have most in the library, but if we don't, just let Mrs Murphy know and we will get it in for you. Remember to check out Sora too - the list of books on there is long and getting longer each month!
